Learners' League Uses an Alternative Learning Program based on the British National Curriculum
The Learners' League's Teaching Methodology
Back in the day, children were encouraged to learn through exploration, oftentimes getting themselves into a pickle! Wasn’t that fun? They had to figure out how to get what they wanted and a lot of thinking and learning was involved.
Sadly, the modern education system has shifted the focus from “learning” to “memorisation”; where high test scores are considered the ultimate success and not progress and development.
Although tests and exams are important, we also believe that education is more than just memorising facts. It's is about teaching students how to think for themselves, and to nurture their unique personalities, so they can truly emerge as bright and intelligent leaders.
Foundation Stage
Reception (Ages 4 - 5)
At the reception level, it is important that we introduce an age-appropriate approach to our core subjects and build a solid foundation.
We aim to promote the love of learning through fun and play and to introduce the foundational concepts of each subject in an easy-to-understand format.
With our cumulative learning practice, the students are then able to build upon what they learn and gradually increase their skills and knowledge across their educational journey.
Key Stage 1 & 2
Year 1 - 6 (Ages 5 - 11)
At Key Stage 1 & 2, we start adding additional areas of development around our core subjects while maintaining our age-appropriate and cumulative learning approach.
We also teach our subjects with a cross-curriculum approach where students learn elements of different subjects within their core classes. For example, learning English through Islamic stories.
This ensures that subjects are not taught in a vacuum and significantly improves their cognitive development and understanding of the world.
A Well-Balanced Holistic Curriculum
We want our children to love their faith and to be proud of their Muslim identity and to carry that love with them throughout their teens and adulthood. And in order to achieve this, we need to establish a strong foundation.
However, building a solid foundation in their faith requires time, and we believe in a softer, more encompassing, and a well balanced approach.
Not only will your children experience Islamic values through the course of their studies, but they will observe the Islamic principles in practice every day through our environment, dress code, etiquette and more.

As Muslim parents, we know that finding the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you can make.
Every child has their own unique way of learning and we all respond differently to different environments and learning programs.
Although our spaces are limited, we want you to be confident in making the right decision and we believe this can only be done by experiencing what we have to offer first hand.
We would love to invite you and your child to our campus so you can experience why everyone loves Learners' League.
